The role of the Ethos & Advisory Committee is to support, inform, advise and challenge provision; working together, empowering excellence and improving outcomes for all children. Working with the Senior Team and the Trust Board , Ethos & Advisory Committees are a local voice and a link with local communities and churches (Church Schools) as well as being advocates for all Trust schools. As ambassadors for the academies, Ethos & Advisory Committees can play a crucial role in enriching community relationships and communication; contributing to the collective effectiveness of academies and the Board of Trustees.

Hilary had children at Gulworthy and has been a governor with us since 2009, becoming our Foundation Governor in 2020. Before retiring, she was a primary teacher and deputy head teacher of a 210 infant and nursery provision. Hilary helps as a volunteer in Class 1 at Lamerton.
Barbara is a retired midwife. She used to be a Trustee of the Village Hall and at present is Secretary for the Parochial Church Council and has recently been elected as a Parish Councillor for Lamerton Parish.
Tori lives in Tavistock and works as a Para planner, focusing on financial advice research. Her younger brother attended Gulworthy Primary. Tori is also a project co-ordinator for a UK Charitable Interest Organisation.
Sarah is a primary school teacher in Plymouth. She has two children, one who is still at Lamerton, whilst the elder has progressed to secondary education.
Dan is a Director at Mansbridge Balment estate agents and has been working with them for 11 years. He lives in Bere Alston with his family and both his children attend Gulworthy Primary.
Zoltan is an IT consultant and a father of four boys, two who are at Gulworthy Primary. He has worked with a multitude of organisation in all corners of the world and brings a unique perspective into the governing body.
